Dear all great Beatboxers across the USA,
The World Beatbox Association is calling your name to compete in the 2013, (4th) American Beatbox Chamionships! If you know you are certifiably dope on the mic, then this definitely is one of the best opportunities to show the world your skill, and get a ton of the recognition you’ve been hoping for. In order to be considered as one of our top 16 finalists, all we ask is for a video submission. The rules/info for your tryout video are as follows, (please read carefully):
- Introduce yourself, say where you’re from, and the name of the battle your competing in; (the 2013 American Beatbox Championships).
- Up to, but no longer than a 2 minute video (including your introduction) showcasing your style/styles of beatboxing.
- Must show proficiency both with and without a hand-held microphone in the same video. (You’ll switch at one or multiple points, but it’s your choice when).
- E-mail your completed youtube video (along with any questions, if any) tosteve@worldbeatboxassociation.com in order to enter the competition.
- In the subject box of your email, type only: ABC 2013 (your name)
- Video submissions are to be accepted no later than April 25th. No exceptions.
- You’ll be judged on musicality, sense of time, creativity, and dynamic.
- Once your audition video is uploaded to the ABC WBA youtube page, just stay tuned for scores!
- The event will be held in the NYC area, during around the first two weeks of August.
- Details about specific date/time/location/features of the show will later be disclosed through our various social networks.
- Include the best contact info to reach you at in your email.
- Must be a US citizen, and be able to travel at your own expense to apply/perform if chosen. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you.
